I'm curious, if is it possible to cheese "Race for Germany" achievement a little? Description says: "As the Soviet union, capitulate Germany after the fall of France before the allies control one German core state." and requirment: "Soviet Union: Conquered Germany before any other country took a core state Germany." My asking is: France has to fall into Germany or it doesn't matter? I have idea to do something like that:
- as USSR, defeat Allies before Axis;
- and then turn the attiention on Germany.
I think, that making it legit could be very RNG - especially now, when UK likes to do naval invasion on Konigsberg. What are You thinking?

Kill Allies, annex/puppet UK, let France go free in the peace deal. (You can keep their colonies).

That should massively buff your USSR and keep the Allies from taking anything before you squash Germany.

That's cool idea, I will try it :) thanks!
To trigger "france_surrendered" trigger, France should be independent, democratic, in a faction with England, and Paris has to be taken by Germany

You can try annexing UK's mainland but leaving them the islands so they couldn't stage an invasion

Although from my experiences in all last runs with weird Allies I don't understand how people are struggling with doing this "the normal way", because I did Stalin run twice, then Ostland, then "It has to be Lit twice" (so I went into Soviets first, and then Germany) and every time Allies had like a couple provinces in Normandy maximum when I was already near Berlin. They just can't land properly until you already crushed Germany's heart

Exactly, I saw it yesterday - I don't know, if there was a change or something, but until 1943 I haven't seen any invasion yet. Pre - NSB and just after DLC release Allies had mutch more aggresive AI, I think, but it is hard to judge after one long playthrough.

I got really lucky in the end with this achievement (after about 5 times of trying). Easy enough to take out Germany but sometimes they wouldn't take Paris or some random country like Czezh would hold onto a German core.

Anyway, the way I finally did it on Historical was to justify against Turkey straight away (they will be joined with Romania only) - easy enough to take out and puppeted their front lines with Syria (France) and the med.

I then took out the Czechs and Hungary before they get swallowed up by the Axis (you will be at war with France and possibly the UK but they only landed at St Petersburg so easy to defend. They stop trying once at war with Germany).

I had the annex goal against Germany from the focus and waited until they took france and invaded Norway. For some reason they had nothing on my border. If you put your marshalls as aggresive, they take far too much land in the opening week or so for the Germans to ever recover.
