In ToH2: Olympian rebirth FAA's represent temples. The game uses moddir. What should I do to change the picture for a FAA to something like this?

temple.bmp

..\Europa Universalis 2\{moddir}\GFX\Map\Units\bmp\T-MANU A-ARTS.bmp is the file you should be creating :)
I have no idea about colourscales etc. though..

Right. Ok... Errr... what is a colourscale?

Help, please? Anybody?

Birger sent me a temple, I'll check how it looks on the map :)

It looks real good :)

Would it be possible to change the picture in the cityview too to a temple?

hmm.. must be doing *something* wrong- instead of a temple (or a painting) there's now nothing visible....

Heh, odd, because I followed your instructions :) Of course the .jpg picture has to first be converted to .bmp and renamed, but I guess you wouldn't do that mistake of forgetting that?

Yeah it looks nice, I have to change the shadows though and the .bmp needs to be 8bit not 24bit. :eek:o

Right... Didn't understand much of that, but do I get it right, you Birger will do something with the temple-picture and then represent it in the correct format along with the words "Here, st00pid"? Please? :)

I'll upload a 24bit with a grey shadow and a 8bit with a transparent shadow asap. :)

nope :)

but all I have is paint to get that jpg to pretend it's a bmp- and then it has *something* wrong..

For ToH2 I think the temples shining through the "fog" work excellently. Sort of highlights the important provinces  But I can understand (if somebody used the temples in other conditions than ToH2) it might not be desirable in most circumstances :)

Totally forgot about this thread.... :eek:o
Here are two versions of the temple, one in 8 and one in 24 bit.
