How to change name of a country?

What files do I have to edit?
Also how can I change the flag?

change the name @ ...\db\country.csv
change the flag @ ...\scenarios\gc\*.inc or by event

command { type = flagname which = "xxx" }

Hmm all I get in the file Country.csv is text like this:
POR;DarkGreen;POR;MIN;Black;Black;9;15;X
Do you know any other way to change the name of the country?

Country, state and culture names are actually in Victoria\config\world_names.csv

When I change the name in World names file I get alot of errors and can't load the game, so what more files do I need to edit to get it to work?

You'd probably have to go though the event files, the AI files and maybe others too, and change all refrences to the old name to the new. Seems like a lot of work, although using the find/replace all function in notepad would cut it down a bit.

Don't all those files rely on tags rather than country name?

I would think that keeping the country tag, while renaming the country in /config/world_names.csv, making sure to keep the file consistent, should do the trick.

Hunter, what kind of errors do you get?

I'd have thought so, but if he's getting errors other stuff must check the country name too. But yeah, the mod forum would proberly know more about this.
