How to change a units pic ??!

Hello everyone!! this is my first post ever !! Well I just wanted to know if it´s possible to change the picture (image ) of a unit in the game... I´ve noticed there are some incorrect pictures and wanted to change it. I have lot´s of WW2 pics scanned and wanted to use some of them.

Either, e.g.

..\GFX\interface\models\model_0_1

or

..\GFX\interface\models\ill_div_USA_5_6

for pictures

Ok...each new image is then assigned to the proper unit when I rename my file, it takes the place of the old one right ?? But what about when a the same image is shared by two different units like the case of the german CAS
HE-129, and the Jet Cas same picture two different airplanes, I had this particular example in mind when i posted, I now I have the correct image for the later model and if I rename the file, will both planes get the same new image ?? GeessHH!! I hope i´ve made sense and was able to explain myself correctly. What I want in this case, is to give the later model the new image I have, and keep the old one for HE-129 wich is correct. What I can´t seem to figure is where do I "give" a unit, or even event it´s image so I could change them.Thanks Panther for your reply maybe U an help me out some more with this further "explanation\complication" from my part

It is all model related, the picture name does assign the *.bmp to a certain model.

But what about when a the same image is shared by two different units like the case of the german CAS

There is no MODEL_div_GER_18_3.bmp picture. I don't know exactly the rules, when there is no picture, it might use MODEL_div_GER_18_2.bmp or more likely MODEL_div_18_0.bmp.

I got it now Panther thanks!! Well with what u told me I made a small experience I used my image and renamed it, to ill_div_GER_18_3 in this case, and to my delight the german turbo CAS now has it´s own correct image of the HE162 has it should!! And then I went on changing every unit, tech and event I could think of and, well no more Soviet images in german planes, and so on!! So now if this can be of any intrest to anyone we have found a way to make this great game much more historically accurate!! Thanks again Panther for your help!!

Yes, that's a great idea. Did you add new pictures? Or do you have a list of your changes?

I added new pictures I have lots of great ones, but didn´t make a list of all changes yet...err..to say the truth it didn´t even ocurred to me. But I see what u mean and i´ll definitely make one sometime this week, and share it with everyone here, I´ll make it as complete as possible. I´ll need some help to make it available, I have no idea how to upload files here or to make links to download sources...
