For this offensive, I concentrated two panzer groups to advance into areas with no mountains. Another infantry army is en route from Cuba, so it is not shown here. I also have to nuke most of the country (port, airfields, oil fields) to gain an initial advance. Quite tough.

I think T3 rockets can't be intercepted at all.

I basically nuked every province in 90% of Germany (mainly the industrial regions). Italy also got a lot of punishment because it is a narrow peninsular so I just nuked central Italy, and some parts of northern and southern Italy. I am not sure whether nukes destroyed air equipment but the massive German air force got halved because they were in their airfields when the war started. I couldn't nuke the entire northern France though Paris got hit. The entire Southern England, Northern England and some parts of Scotland also get decimated because they were in German hand. Romania got every province nuked too because of Romanian oil. All in all, I think the Axis were in the same stage as post-WW2. Utterly devastated, except for France and Spain.

Edit: what's more devastating about nuclear bombing as compared to conventional bombing is that the entire civilian industry gets wiped out. So the recovery is almost non-existent. Berlin is still in utter ruins (level 10 devastation) even 3 months since WW3 started....

Looks like AI still goes on 95% Inf even in 1980 after 40 years of war.

What ur divisions look like?

Mechinf is the absolute killer against infantry.
When i invaded USA in 1945 they burn 3 Million men against my mechinf and only got 40.000 looses.

This is a bit of a sidetrack but I like how the blizzard is affecting my organization recovery massively. This is important because I am rushing a huge offensive towards Poland.

In Europe, Germany seems to have 16-20 panzer divisions. Not sure about others.

Dont have a habit of playing AI though haha. By the way, I am currently stuck at the forest. You can see at the photo where my northern pincer has to cross a river with forest behind. Other than nuke, is there a better to force my way across? The penalties are too huge...

I would move your tanks manually.

You loose the planning bonus but you are much more flexible and faster to close pockets and use weakpoints when they appear.
Also u can avoid swamps and mountains as u should do like the devil the holy water.

Well... this is HOI4 game and the battleplan is like one of their selling points, I try to stick to the features but I do manual stuff if needed be. Also, while swamps and mountains are forbidden terrains, sometimes you need to cross them to get to your objective as quickly as possible. It is like a lion who is afraid of waters with crocodiles, but sometimes they cross it to get to their prey.

Edit: It also looks cool on a map with arrows pointing, especially when you are the armchair general..

Dindnt u build mechdivisions in all the time? Only see basic infantry and tankdivisions.

I only build motorised division. Cos they are faster and can close gaps. My mechs is for panzer division -- slow and armored..

Nearly all softattack bounced on that guys and they stand there ground against anything.

Nearly all softattack bounced on that guys and they stand there ground against anything.

My 10mech 3 SPG and 2 TD hold the line against any infantry that coming.

Insane. Have to try in next campaign. Not sure whether I got the chance to test it out. :/
