How to access multiplayer???

I have 2 computers, i bought darkest hour on both of them so i can get a good lan game goin on with my friends. I go to host a game but the other computer cant see my game, i downloaded hamachi and set it up on both computers then tried to create a game over the net, typed in the ip address but when i clicked join it just seems like its loading then nothing happens.
Any Ideas???

1 day when i was FOREVER ALOnE i opened up 2 games at the same computer and laned with myself.

lol. it worked. works with AOD and other games too
