As the title said, I play Denmark and it's 1516 now.

The problem is, in this game the Sweden didn't convert to Protestant while I converted to, and therefore our relation suffer from "neighboring heretic -40" and "historical rival -25," which made me almost impossible to achieve 190 relation to integrate them. Then for the inherit part, the subject menu shows that the chance to inherit them is -8%(-18% due to their size, +5% due to diplomatic reputation and +5% due to the same country group,) I already annex Norway, Holstein, and conquer Riga, 3 provinces from Livonian Order, and 5 provinces in North Germany. Furthermore I have Wales, Scotland, Ireland, Bremen as my vassals( I want to get the Iron Price achievement,) is that still not large enough?

What should I suppose to do now to deal with this Swedish problem?

Any suggestion?

Convert to Catholic, start integration, re-convert to Protestant.

Gamey, but that's how it is. You could also do the realistic thing and not integrate at all - it would make sense for the Swedish Catholics to reject integration into a Protestant Denmark, whom the Swedes hate with a passion after centuries of rivalry and multiple wars between the nations.

It would cost a lot of money I guess, but, rather than converting :
-Check how much you have to give them as a gift to have +25 bonus, and store enough money
-Give them subsidies until you get +10 relations, then give them the cash for the +25, and you'll get +35. Once you've begun to annex them, you cancel subsidies

Thanks a lot, I'll try this method at once. I didn't know that subsidies would increase relation!!

So basically, BUY Sweden off!!!! LOL

If you play in Ironoman, take care, because you'll need to spend a rather huge amount of money, so I'll advise you to be sure to have enough money before giving subsides.

15 for subsidies, 25 for gifts but you'll face difficulties integrating anyway. Even if you hit the button they could still DOW you and break away.

What I would do is to just wait for rebels to pop up in Sweden and then hurry up to squash them, bribe with gift and you should be very close. Perhaps a short subsidie to fill in the blanks. Also, sieging back provinces increases relations, at least with independant nations, so perhaps just DOW Muscovy, let Sweden loose some provinces, get those back, white peace, gift and annex. In other situations, I would have advised subsidies, but here it will really require tons (or rather years) of intense bribe to work. For OPM though, some monthly ducats is a must. Keep in mind though, better subsidie for a very long time and cancel later on; the longer, the higher it goes while if it stops just for 1 day, it's back to 0 relation modifier (you might get some backward monarch modifier in the mean time or a war that'll delay integration).

You have to keep them in a state of constant wars, even pointless wars.

You don't even have to intervene yourself in the war, just insure that they have a punching bag to keep their manpower low. Intervene only if things get bad (rebels or enemy units sieging Sweden).

Start a 20 years war against Muscovy if you want, but there can be no peace.

Low manpower + relation bonus for being in war (I believe it's +25) = no revolt

If you do this, you have to do it in the opposite order, gift first, then give subsidies. The subsidies are included in the calculation for a gift, so gifts get a lot more expensive if you start a subsidy before gifting.
