colonialism in Victoria period is exclusive in Africa. in Victoria 2 we have only Sokoto and some areas which are already colonized by some powers and most of africa is not colonized. if Victoria 3 become successor of EU4 then it means many parts of africa are already colonized or have their government. So How Should colonialism be in Victoria 3? is it like Victoria 2 or like EU4? or it has a new system? which one is better? can we subjugate african states in that new system? What is your opinion?
and one not relative question : will Johan Andersson be the victoria 3 game director like victoria 2? he is the best choice for Victoria 3.

Unlikely that Johan would lead a game since I think he's the person above the game directors (EVP Creative Director). Henrik Fåhraeus aka doomdark could work since CK2 is about done. But V3 obviously isn't announced.

Here's a nice look back at how small the team was even for CK2.
Actually, the ck2 team has grown quite a lot since release.. It used to be 3 ppls + occasional artists and qa.

Victoria II has a much better system for representing colonization than any of the EU games, since none of them manage to represent disputed territory. It's sad, since colonialism is more central to the EU4 era than VII, but it is what it is.

I'd also like to see the possibilities for colonialism into non-African areas. A scramble for China for example would make for interesting developments in regard to give the potential power house of China something to deal with in mid-game beyond industrializing into a super power. The way I see is it that China could really need some kind of opposition since Japan and the Europeans usually don't act as aggressively against the Chinese as they did historically.

On another note Britain could also use something to give it a bit more challenge rather than reign supreme from start to end in most games. At least those are my thougts on it.

it's a good idea to have A scramble for China but I think it's more about market and trade.it will be awesome to have a market Challenge like colonialism one.but I like to know what will happen if i want to convert EU4 into victoria 3? how we should deal with these african states? obviously it will not similar to Victorai 2.

One thing that I would like to see is the ability to draw your own African borders if you release colonial land, like was done in RL. Right now, Dynamic Colonial Nations are severely limited in how they work, and they usually result in releasing provinces you want to keep. I believe a system similar to the Client States system in EU4 should be employ ed, to give me full control over drawing African and colonial borders. I should also be able to choose from the cultures in the colony to make dominant or accepted.

Is it means that you think to adopt EU4 colonization on Victoria 3? thanks for your reply

There should be a conference somewhere in europe which would dynamically define the areas of influence for the different great powers, but still let secondary powers get something(like Belgium).

So you think a new conference mechanic should add to the game? this a wonderful proposal that I never think about it. All people knows All things. Thanks
