Well it's one of the Axis majors so in any of our MP:s, it's gonna be played by somebody.
It's kinda lame as it is, though.
In fairness it was kind of lame in real life, but so was France and Bulgaria and Turkey, etc. and they'll have better gameplay mechanics than Italy.
The real question how fun it is?
It is not fun to play as italy and its not because of the tree. It cant produce any drama other than "there we go italy failed again" it doesnt produce any exitement.
Besides needing more options, Italy's tree needs a rework that actually engages with why it did so poorly historically. There were a lot of domestic factors that players should have to deal with too.
I'm sure the Italian rework will restrict/nerf the Italian players by introducing economic and political difficulties they really had.
And after that a lot of players will complain that it isn't so trivial to revive the Roman Empire and so Italy is unplayable![]()
Italy, in it's current state when in competent player hands, can do a lot more than "there we go Italy failed again".The real question how fun it is?

And ironically the general not make stop for 4 month after the DOW, but attack the same day and in the 100% of my game enter in cairo withouth my help (via land or via naval invasion)Italy, in it's current state when in competent player hands, can do a lot more than "there we go Italy failed again".
Italy's problem isn't that it's too weak in gameplay, but that it lacks a ton of flavour content about it's economic and political situation in the 1930s and 40s, and has no real alt-history paths in it's focus tree to speak off.
