I've been playing for about two years, so I know my way around CK2 fairly well. That said, AI decision making, especially regarding plot support, is one of the most opaque mechanics to me. I accept base reluctance and opinion only mattering at multiples of 25. Even then I end up with baffling circumstances like having 6 + vs 3 - in the decision screen, yet they won't join my plot. So clearly I'm missing something here, right?

I believe the character "morals" factor a lot into this - people with certain traits may need a lot more positive than negatives to join your plot. But I would really like to know the "deep" mechanics for this as well.

I suppose that makes sense, though I feel like it should be shown in some way. Such characters already have a "moral qualms" modifier, which is a single - implying it can be overcome with motives or opinion.
