TLDR : Getting wiped out by when Unbidden appeared new game 2.2 with Crisis x1 power, year 2450 with Research X0.75 and X0.5 Habitable worlds, used to own 20 or so colonies with owning a third of middle size galaxy.
Not sure if I was doing really bad or Crisis haven't been updated to match new economy. Probably both.

Hi, a returning player after hearing 2.2 got rid of tiles system, currently playing an ironman game for achievement hunt since all my old mods were broken anyways.
I was getting hang of new systems and mechanics, and was doing decently (one third of galaxy under me and my vassals) and taking remains of Khan who died from event with hitting them from multiple points with Psi jump drives.
However when Unbidden came through our galaxy, I was horrified and ended all my disputes to prepare to fight against them. But I am currently being wiped out as I had far less time than I expected due to two Fallen Empires between the Crisis and me as a Xenophile FE just died without doing anything against them and Materialist FE woke up to declare themselves as Guardian of Galaxy but just threw their ships mindlessly against Crisis without ever building new ones or fixing the ones that got hurt..... And I even gifted my minerals and energies to them so they would last a bit more but they simply didn't do anything.
Now I am facing against Unbidden pretty much by myself (As I used Colossus against Khan successor's homeplanet for achievement, and everyone hates me for it) I do have a Federation set up with some Megacorp, but they are being attacked too and is on blink of death.
I managed to set up my Kinetic Battleship fleets up to 80k which can kill a fleet of them easily after focusing my entire economy but the Unbidden just threw 8 fleets that had around 400k fleet power through chokepoint Citadel.... Now all I have is a dozen corvette that was suppressing piracy.
