After trying out the *ahem* demo last week (and despite not massively enjoying EU3 and VC2) I decided it was definitely worth my money, so I splashed out the full £30 (€37, US$47) on Steam for it.

i was gonna get it when it was at 50% but wasnt sure if it would work on my laptop but went on steam to buy it, i missed it by like 3 minutes and it said 75% so i thought bonus lol

I bought it with the last Steam sale. I think it was around $12.99 (US) plus maybe a couple more dollars for all the DLC. I played EUIII quite a bit and actually bought CKI some time ago, but could not get into it (didn't try hard but found the dated graphics confusing). So really I was not very enthused about the game when it first came out. The cheaper price gave me incentive to try it out though. I also watched an LP or two. I'm really enjoying it and would have paid more in hindsight. It's worth it. I will definitely by anything that comes next.

Yep, 75% off at the last sale on Steam, which came to $12.49 with all the DLC. I just wasn't 100% sure that I could handle this game's complexity (and 15 hours worth of playing later, I'm still not sure ) so I thought I'd wait for it to go on sale. My rule is usually that as long as I get 1 hour of fun per dollar out of the game, it was a good purchase. So far, I'm already ahead, and likely to be much much more ahead in the next few weeks and months... and years...

Now I'm wanting to try EU3, as I usually like big empire management games, but again I'm not sure so I may wait until it goes on sale somewhere again too. It's not like I don't have my hands full with CK2 meanwhile

Same here (+ current DLCs). Except I caught the 75% on the last day (last few hours, lol).

So I think it is totally worth it. Steam says I've been playing 67 hours this past 2 weeks. That's about 14p an hour. You would have to play ~212 hours to get the same return (hourly rate) - just to put things into perspective.

I would have loved to have paid such a small price. I don't think I wasted my money though, it is still a better 'return' than most games these days - I aim for approximately £1/hr and this has already exceeded

Full price a couple days after release and have zero regrets. I've already gotten my money's worth and still have so many hours to go until I'm tired of the game.

Worth it?
Well assuming Steam was actually right and I have 513hrs played, I would say yes.

But knowing their counters don't work when you don't load steam up, because you don't need internet connection to play, this number is actually much, much higher.
