I like to take use Paradox games to rewrite history entirely, but as the timeline creeps up, a bad posistion seems to become harder to change with cheats. So, if I wanted to have Denmark take over Germany in HoI IV...is it even posible?
In CK II, you can just add a ton of money and take on the HRE with 30k mercs.
In EU IV, you can add a ton of money, raise as many troops as possible ignoring your forcelimit, and then cheat for more manpower to repeat the process.
In Vicky II, however, your army size comes down directly to your pops...and there's no cheats for spawning more of them.
In HoI IV, your army comes down to your manpower and production, and the latter is limited by a hard cap on how many factories you can have in a region.

So, is there any way to make Denmark strong enough to withstand Germany, even with cheats? :/

I don't see why not, just use cheats to get 50 million manpower and guns for all of them, and a decent air force.

Really? That does make things simpler. Thanks :)

Well, I can't be 100% sure (never having played the game) but planes are items of equipment like infantry equipment - and I can't really imagine them forgoing the possibility of spawning rifles :)

....Change region types? Tell me more.

Well idk how modifiable that would be but I suppose its possible but I don't make those tables and their complex cheats :p

ofc you can just go into the game files and modify it then modify manpower trough a console command or a pointer for manpower (cheat table). but we will have to wait till release with what they will come up with ;)

edit: wait they would modify region type this way:

you select a state or province and then you can enter a number which defines region type inside the cheat table I suppose, same way you can modify development in EUIV trough cheat table. I'd bet a much simpler solution is just overriding the max number of building slots :p

Sure.

Go into the nation and region *.txt files and edit the values for the region. Add all the resources you need to one region, add population for manpower. And add so that your start with all the factories to fill your hearts content.

Take it a step further and you could mod in your own country, say an island somewhere in the world and make that the economic superpower that bests the top 3 nations of the time period if you want. It's completely cheating by editing the files of the game but doable. Makes for a good time, especially if you want to steamroll the entire world, as like Ireland, with all 1945 tech in 1936.

This is clearly the easiest way of cheating and you do learn a little bit of modding along the way as well. Other ways would be to edit the difficulty modifiers. You can make your nation on very easy difficulty an absolute powerhouse. The only thing to remember is to back up the files all the time.

There are easy way: just make mod, and select that mod before you want to play with this super cheats(additional 5 sec of work?), or make additional folder with all files from HOI 4 folder, and call it HOI with cheats.

P.S. Nothing improve mood (after defeat(,, better than smashing world as Albania:)

Actually, in HoI3 you could easily make an event to spawn factories in a province and you can go beyond 10 factories in 1 province using it. HoI3 can also have events which directly spawn units.

In Vicky 2 you cant directly add to pops (i think, some events remove them so i imagine you might be able to but i never did it) but you can make an event giving you 100% pop growth per month or something ridiculous but you would need to make some other events increasing RGO size or suffer consequences making it a bit harder.

In HoI4 there are focus trees giving you factories and forts so i imagine it is equally possible to make events doing so. Whether or not this would be limited by the province type, idk. Have we seen events giving you equipment etc? I dont think its fair to say for certain if its possible to do or not but I'd expect it is. Certainly, manpower, nukes and whatnot will be easy to cheat for. I would expect HoI4 has carried over the ability to directly spawn units as well, since its in every other current paradox game.

It really depends what commands they add to the debug console and which not, and we won't know that for sure until the game comes out.

Modding the game files clearly makes everything possible however. And if they have something like integrate x in their debug console, you can clearly win the game on 1. January 1936 - if thats what you desire ;)

I was mostly hoping for console cheats. Modding seems...a bit of a bother, really XD Partly because I've never been good at it. But yeah, we'll wait and see, I guess.
