Will it actually be fewer? Kind of dissapointing. If they'll have larger provinces in the sense of regions (like in EvW maybe?) it'd sort of take away the enjoyment of encirclement I think.
Well actually there has been no information given suggesting thisFewer, they are doing regions now from what I understood.
Not a huge difference in number (maybe 10% less in some spots? Some added in places. It's not significant). Being able to do tactical movement over stack battles was a good feature of hoi3
So now we know that HOI4 will be similar to HOI3 here. Not a huge difference in number (maybe 10% less in some spots? Some added in places. It's not significant). Being able to do tactical movement over stack battles was a good feature of hoi3

Well I guess that settles the issue of if they were going to go with a HOI2 vs HOI3 style of province count.
Since we are going with HOI3, please, please make addressing the tedium of micromanagement that was in HOI3. It sounds like the ability to use battle plans to make units attack will help when it comes to actually moving units around which is good. But another thing I found took far too much time in HOI3 was organizing your army and the OOB. I don't know how long it takes me to prepare for something like Barbarossa... almost as long as the invasion itself.
I am very glad to know that HOI4 won´t drastically change the number of provinces! Not a huge difference in number (maybe 10% less in some spots? Some added in places. It's not significant). Being able to do tactical movement over stack battles was a good feature of hoi3

What you are asking is already in HOI3! It takes less than 5 minutes to organize and move an OOB even if it has hundreds of divisions. I can´t believe that after 5 years a huge amount of people still don´t know how to use the incredibly useful in-game automation. Some players are spending 1 hour (!) searching for a leader when any leader can be found within 15 seconds or less. Since this seems to be causing a huge frustration with lots of players I am going to do a tutorial in my YouTube channel.

Try something likeThe provinces need actually not be as small as they are in Hoi3 to reflect most enciclements
