I'm really hoping it's not limited to 2. Imagine this if you will:
Germany at the height of the war, you have a player controling the east front and another controling the west. There's a player controling the Afrika Korps too, and another in charge of the navy. Finally you have a central player controling grand strategy, the economy, unit building and the alotment of reinforcements. All the 'front' players pester the central player for reinforcements to be sent to them instead of the other fronts, the east front general has to have more tanks, the navy demands more ships, the west front needs more airpower and transports while the poor african geberal demands more of everything.

And that's just Germany! Think of the USA! The British empire! The- *Darkrenown's keyboard is now too flooded with drool to be used to type with*

Also, how do they plan to pull off the system that lets you select who gets what, that sounds very complex.

Well, no reason the axis player cannot ship over more, and if the allies have a similar number of troops it'll still be interesting for the African commander. He could also be given any new small fronts that open up too.

No system is needed, the players just agree who handles what.

I said in the first post :) There should be a central player handling grand strategy and the economy. And arguments between different services and fronts over what to build just makes it more realistic :D

On second thought maybe not, you could always have a revolution among your generals to overthrow the guy in charge :D

I'd only play co-op with people I'd spoke to a bit before and could trust not to be an asshat :)

As far as I know, there's no actual game rule to restrict players to certain areas, what I'm proposing would jsut be an arrangement the players come to.

But yeah, the naval player would be told to only control the navy, generals wanting to launch an invasion would have to request transports and from the navy guy and tell him where/when to move them.
The navy guy would also pester the central player to build more BBs and reseach the latest torpedos while the generals demand more tanks and better arty :D

Co-op mode sounds great. When playing with couple friends you can actually simulate Army Group leaders. You just need to divide troops with your friends or give control by area. Imagine that your friend control forces in west and another friend east, third guy can control building, ecomony and other forces around the globe plus navies. :cool:
