You are mistaken. There was a demo, but no preload. They haven't confirmed a preload for Stellaris to my knowledge.

If I remember correctly the reason why Paradox hasn't done any preloads in the past is because their games are DRM free, and as such there is nothing to keep you from loading it the day before and playing it before it is actually supposed to be released. Not sure if there is any way around that, but if there isn't they are unlikely to be doing preloads anytime soon.

Typical Steam pre-load usually doesn't have .exe file and/or encrypted.

Taking time off when No Man's Sky is released. So Stellaris will be played after work. Still think we should lobby for a release 6'th may, so we can have the weekend to play the game

If you are in EU TZ the game will ~ probably ~ release at 19:00 CET (Steam). So maybe start at tuesday would make more sense.

I would have considered it as i do have quite a few accumulated paid "holidays" i could use. But alas im going on a two week vacation from the 21th of may so it wasnt an option to take more days off so close to that.
However i am making sure that i "complete" other games and doesnt have any premium on World of Warships just so theres nothing else distracting me around release ;P
