Got a week off from college the week before release... So I imagine I'll be working my ass off during that week to be able to take a couple days off after the 9th.

It's my birthday in May and I work a 4 on 4 off shift pattern, so I have booked 2 cycles off that month, for 21 days off starting just before release day

I don't think I'll be able to, I'm getting into college(med school) in the end of thismonth. It'll probably be early enough in the year that I'll have a bit of free time, though, so there's that.
Have to work first week after release and then I have to go to the hospital for one week. They told me not to bring electronic devices. Sucks to be me ....

Well, i was going to take the 9th off but i have been burnt that way before by having the actual release happen at mid day or some nonsense. Also i am guessing that other people might like to find out how broken the game is and tell paradox so they can fix it before i play.
So i think i am going to take the 10th off, start playing after work stay up fairly late, get up the next day pack the kids off to school then play from 9.10 till 17.30. Need to check my leave situation because i might try for the 11th off too.
I have marked 9th May in on the kitchen calendar and explained to my wife that she is just going to have to accept the fact that i will probably only be able to talk excited, semi meaningless gebberish at her for a while. She said "bless" and left it at that.

I'll either try to convince my boss that Stell-Aris La-Unch on 9th, 10th and propably 11th of May is a sacred day to my religion, and as such I should be given leave with pay for those days...
Or I could just "accidently" break a toe during the weekend, earning paid sick-leave, because hey, socialism.

This is true; I'd like to wait for the inevitable hotfix(es) to come out so I can enjoy the game without any glaring issues. I'll pre-order, no doubt, but only really boot 'er up for a campaign a couple of days later.

Didn't think about it until now actually. Guess they can let me out of their basement for a day or two. It could be enough for one complete run.
