How many people are actually booking time off work?

I'm a Student who's just about finished his exams when Stellaris comes out, so it doesn't really affect me, I was just curious - how many people are booking time off solely to play Stellaris, and how long for?

There is no judgement here, it is a solely curiosity driven question (especially as I have all the free time in the world.)

I work full time and have taken both the 9th and 10th off to play. I've got my whole day planned out and everything though I'm not sure what hour the game will actually go live (Most steam games go live at 6pm GMT but Paradox games tend to be earlier)

The only problem is I have a major work deadline on the 11th as soon as I come back.....so the countdown is both a countdown to Stellaris and a thing that I am procrastinating SO HARD on right now.

Yay work.

I also told my wife that i quit vasselage on these days to go full independent, annexing the pc-room with secure the borders agenda and that the emperor of mankind is only to be disturbed for bringing food in and waste out.

I really love my daughter and my wife but stellaris.

I was already taking off from work, as I am a full time engineer going to grad school at night and I turn in my last final on the 7th. So I think I earned it.

I'm taking the weekend after off, both to play Stellaris and to visit some friends and show off Stellaris so I can convince them to buy it. I'm also planning to take a weekend between now and the 9th to get them to watch the Blorg stream.

They got me into playing Civ IV, then they got me into playing EUIV. I think it's time I repaid the favour.
