It depends entirely on how fast each person plays the game/pauses. There is literally no answer to this especially since a person would have to be quite dedicated even to have finished one game by now.
Lol I'm still in the first 100 or so years and you're asking when games ended? lol I don't play racehorse with my Crusader Kings games it takes me DAYS even WEEKS sometimes to get to the last date.
The year is 1090 in my game as Galicia and I've played for about 10 hours, if that's any indication.
The year is 1079 in my game and I've played for about 10 hours as well. You see, there is no universal answer. It all depends on your preferences of pause/unpausing, general game-speed and of course your dynasty
I'm already in 1323 after eleven or so hours of gameplay. Though I have had to have it going at speed 5, since I'm stuck as a duke in an Absolute Crown Authority Sweden, meaning I can't do very much.
Yes. But I haven't had much success. Also, my current duke is fifteen years old - he can't plot yet.
Edit: Even though he's now twenty, the plot to lower crown authority isn't available, sadly.

I realize it will different for everybody but I was wondering on average how long a game will last
Not long so far. Maybe 3 hours. I usually start as a lowly count, become duke and then kinda lose direction.
I started playing as Flanders since release, I played about 14 hours and I haven't even played 100 years I'm a slow player and still learning and I think I didn't choose the easiest Duchy to start with

It's a lot like CK1 in time, I would say, maybe a bit slower due to having a bit more to do usually.
I've made it to 1170s but that's actually like 20 hours (and the game's been out for like 40 haha). Of course, it depends how active a player you are. I like to hit the ledger, pause and look at marriage prospects (really look at them, more than just the marriage button tells you), etc.
And after all that I had a giant civil war on an inheritance (the guy who died was so incredible that I didn't realize how hard it would be on his heir) and it seems that the game is basically unsalvageable, or at least it's gonna take a lot of time to even get my realm into peace, so I'm starting a new one.
To actually play from 1066-1453? Hahahaha... I dunno. Unless you play as a full time job I'd expect a month or two.

thats what i did too. now i try lombardia, italy is a hard nut to crack.
haha Lombardia is the 2nd easiest to form Italy, Toscana being the first of course I haven't tried using Lombardia in CK2 yet but I had forming Italy with them in CK1 down to a science.
