I stopped playing not due to achievements, but because of balance issues and bugs. Don't like to waste my time - I'd rather wait till patch and then will start new game.
How many are stopping play until the achivements is fixed?

Hehe I think you misread my post, mate! I very very intentionally play in a way that will never ever get me any achievements.
I do not have a single achievement in Stellaris. I actually never play Ironman or for achievements on any PDX game except EU IV.
I love Stellaris but it has so many little mods I can't live without, No Clustered Starts being my personal favorite that I advocate to anyone who complains about starting positions.

Achievements are working for me (got two over the weekend), so if only I didn't have other responsibilities keeping me from playing... 
Perhaps I won't put down the gme overall, but I did start an Ironman run in celebration of 1.5 and I didn't realize the achievements were bugged - it's a much more intense way to play, and I think I'll pick up that one after I actually have a chance of getting something to show for my work.
On the other hand, I'll still probably be playing non-ironman runs - it would suck to lose an ironman game and the associated file without anything to show for it.

The only achievement I aim for is to make the 'Realm of Eden' absolute ruler of the universe.
Having a ethically strong, well defended , resource rich empire after 50 years is an achievement for me.
