How make a slave planet in 2.2?

In simpler times I'd just resettle my main species to take care of the non-worker buildings.

This new system though forces species towards a 50:50 pop ratio regardless. So I'm struggling to achieve my goal of a majority-slave planet with a select few native species as enforcers/admin.

Anyone got any non-mod ideas of a workaround?

With the right policy (I believe it's population controls -> allowed) you can choose which species to grow and lock to one. Click on the growing species portrait and select the one you want. Also you can create a thrall world via decision. Which is basically a slave breeding ground.

Basically choose slaves to grow on a planet until you can change it into a thrall world. Useful for creating Soldiers worlds (also good giggle at 5k power defense army). Kind of dangerous early on though.

Uh, if we are talking Slaving Guilds, no there is absolutely NOTHING you can do: every single planet will attempt to maintain a 60% free 40% enslaved for every single race. If it seems arbitrary and forced, yeah Slaving Guilds was an oversight they almost forgot to change for the update, so I'm hoping for a mild rework for something that gives us....control.

Otherwise you can just force a particular species to grow by clicking on the "growing" portrait and choosing which species you want.

Also Thrall worlds ONLY grow slaves, which you can re-settle at will. EDIT: Only species who's entire citizenship is set to slavery will grow: the 40% slaves from Slaving Guilds still will not grow as their species is technically "free".
