c) no paradrops..

6 tech trades a year sounds about right, but no paradrops! How about, no cheesy paradrops? If used in a 'real' combat situation, they are 1) not cheesy, and 2) very useful. I love dropping a 3-6 division corps behind enemy troops while my tanks hit them from the front. It's nasty! ;)

Cheers,

How about "absolutely no use of the World Market"? This will force players to actually earn their resources, either by conquest or synthetics.

I thought about that, but it will be too harsh on Germany and Japan.

My suggestion is:
Cancel all world market offers for axis when they are at war with two of the following nations UK/US/USSR.

Cancel all world market offers for Comintern when they are at war with UK or US

Allies can always use world market

That's pretty interesting ... and somewhat realistic too. Though I still think Germany could get by, with their enormous coal resources and start-of-game knowledge of synthetics. They wouldn't be able to reach full potential without doing some conquering, but hey, that's what the game is about.

You cannot eliminate Para's altogether, it is the only way to take some islands, since they have no beach for naval landings. ;)

Didn't many aircraft units historically fly more than one mission per day? I've seen stories about pilots on both sides flying a second mission even after getting shot down on the first :p

Yeah, but the org hit for flying ought to be more severe IMHO.

I limit myself to one mission a day for planes except for:

Fighters flying intercepts (don't have any supporting evidence but it seems to me that you could defend your turf a lot easier than planning a bombing mission)
Dive bombers flying close air support (will only fly during daylight, can get in two a day)

Bombers certainly need an org hit for missions and an org minimum for initiating new missions. I also think they should have to go into the production que for strength upgrades as the naval units do. It strikes me as being too easy to bring these units up to full strength, particularly when bombing naval units. The planes have a huge advantage.
