How long have you followed HoI?

I was there from the start, too. (although my posts are now on a much more regular base then those times )

I still remember those heated political-ideological discussions in their heydays (there even were some Stalin apologists I remember )

And yes, I still remember anyone complaining how the grey shades were hurting their eyes. Now I often think, "that EU forum blue background hurts on the eyes"

But basically, I was very much a lurker until the last months or so...

Although this is only my 3rd post, like blah.blah.blah, I've been waiting to see an EU2 type game for thw WW2 period. So I guess the wait has been quite a while. Come to think of it, if they take the game concept and bring it up to modern day (like 2000-2002 our time frame) I'll be more than extatic. Mind you HOI will be just great !!

I wonder if anyone ever played Balance of Power. This was a game, circa 1987-89ish, if I remember correctly. It ran on Microsoft Windows 1.00...no kidding!! I had an IBM Pc Jr at the time and had a hell of a time to get BoP to run on Jr.... all I got was a few minutes of play before it crashed.

Anyway....REALLY looking forward to HOI....Maybe a day or 2 at the most???? PLEAZZZE!!!!

Six months, which is whythe delays forced two weeks of numbing head banging against my wall. There is a nice print in it now, so whenever I get HOI, I can play, reflect on the madness and laugh...my head still hurts to laugh...

So long I don't remember. But when I heard about I was thinking "not another WW2 game!" I was more interested in Crusader kings. But over time when I began to hear the details I became hooked. Now I'm fantatic.
