I just - finally - installed Divine Wind and HTTR and have been reading up on the new features. I noticed myself France appears a bit weaker now and Austria shows more initiative, really cool (I play with lucky nations off)
I'm playing as Holland and start of in a PU with Hainaut. That sucks but is a small price for playing a country with such lovely sliders and also my home province. The wiki country guide for Holland advices me to break up the alliance right away. Good idea. I do this and I also lower relations below 0 and keep relations that way. Now I'm confronted with a lot of great beneficial decisions which also increase legitimacy.
My question is how these decisions increasing legitimacy affect my chances for a break up of the PU?
Logic would say a country shouldn't hold ceremonies that boost the ego, but more importantly, the legitimacy of a King you want to get rid of. But do game mechanics work that way?
I thought of raising the question but realised I could just make the decisions and wait for Hainaut to be annexed by Burgundy. I understand Burgundy receives this mission rather quickly. However, an EU game never goes exactly as planned. Burgundy is caught up in several wars that are going on for years now. When those wars are done, I suspect them laying down a while. HTTR and DW on first sight seem to have solved the huge blobbing phenomonon. Expansion seems to have become a more risky business, in other words, the game got even more strategically loaded. Love it! Except for Hainaut, I despise their king!
I would really appreciate an answer on the legitimacy question, so thanks a lot in advance!
Cheers
