Decided to start an Aztec campaign (because why not). Apparently Paradox broke the vassals tab for them and they can no longer sacrifice rulers (button replaced with the embargo rivals button, no button to sacrifice), which makes the Doom quite difficult to deal with since now the only way I can reduce Doom is war, which just isn't feasible due to truces. Its especially annoying because I want to sacrifice that filthy 5/6/5 that my vassal has before my first reform.

As usual, Brandenburg. Took me 2 restarts to find a working tactic (good old cheesy PU over Bohemia):

I too started a Brandenburg into Prussia game. I missed the PU with Bohemia, have been a 0 manpower for 25 years and now the whole empire hates my religion. It's freakin great!

Started England Ironman, so its easymode. The obvious France Subjugation happens at 1475 for me with Scotland already vassalized and Ireland under control. Also waged a war against Denmark and Russia to chain some low developed provinces up to the White Sea and got a few provinces from Burgundy (like Antwerpen) for Tradepower.

But I REALLY have a problem with army tradition. Somehow it is not going up I was in many wars but I am still below 20.

And I don't like the parliament seats. The province bonus is insignificant but if you got 10 seats stability and especially WE cost is very significant.

Playing with Austria, its 1483 and just managed to pass 2nd reform. IA is ticking between 0,15 - 0,30 monthly and there's a mission to get +5 IA if you secure the vote from electors. Looks like better system than we had before. Got PU over Hungary. Pretty much having 0 manpower all the time so i developed some of the land for manpower and built barracks there. Austria has few non-mountain provinces which i can develop without steep costs and there's place for more buildings.

Mountain provinces have Iron good so i developed production there a bit. Bumped Tirol a few times (4-8-2 development) it produces now 100.11 gold yearly. And also took two provinces from rival Venice and pretty much ready to take two more.

In world, Castille is doing terrible, Leon is free with 4 provinces, France took 2 provinces in Iberia, Portugal took 1 from Castille also. England has 2 more provinces in mainland, but they took two in Ireland. Aragon doing well, still holds Naples. Portugal losing in Africa, rebels and Maroco stronk. Burgundly almost dead, i helped there. Sweden is free. And Muscovy started well but lost to rebels a lot, Novgorod is kicking well atm. Poland and Lithuania look strong, Poland rivaled me. Ottos also took their mainland, they are fighting now Poland/Lithuania over Crimea.

Well, lets say things are not going as expected.

found out aragon will attack me if i DOW portugual or england. They just wait for a excuse and will pay the stability cost to enter the war.
Thats fine by me.
My surprise when i found out Austria also loves to jump in any War i start.

So im thinking my option is to DOW aragon or not DOW anyone at all and wait the iberian wedding.

Maybe going for morroco. Dont really tested if aragon is going to DOW me if i declare war on a sunni country, but i bet they will do and call austria.

Started a game as England. Was saved from Wars of the Roses by a lucky heir (5/3/4, that's a lot compared to Henry VI's row of nils). Tried out a parlamentary debate. Had a succesful war with the Lollards.

And then France declared war on me (for Labourd). And I thought I was screwed. I had made allies with Castille and Austria earlier, but Austria was in the middle of an internal HRE war while the French troops were drilling the Castillian-Portuguese army into the ground. My chances looked, to be honest, pretty slim. I was ready to let my continental holdings go.

But that was not to happen. France was just enough distracted by the Iberians that they didn't manage to take Labourd, making the warscore tick in my favour. After crushing a small French army in Normandie I marched south-east and sieged Paris to the ground and forced France to surrender.´

As war reparations I demanded Armagnac and Alencon from them and released Foix. As of this moment the French manpower is absolutely zero but my army is feeling strong as ever.

Enjoying a reactionary Tuscany game. Aim to play tall, and slowly build up to Italy. More interesting (tome) is how AI England and AI Brandenburg are doing, with no help whatsoever (in fact my only impact outside of the peninsula was forcing Austria to give up Tirol in 1492)

Playing a laid back Poland=>PLC campaign. Learning how to wage war anew was fun, loving the new fort system. World is definitely interesting (random lucky) with France lamost completely devoured by England/GB and Provence (France tried to expand too fast, got hit by a coalition fast), with Muscowy almost done with integrating Russian lands (sans Novgorod) but being balanced out by stron Crimea/Otto alliance... Oh, and the religious war in HRE was a nice shake-up of alliances (I was the leader of the Protestant camp and had to backstab Austria...). Now for the first time in a long while I'm actually competing with the GB for the US East Coast, instead of them going straight for the Carribean/Colombia.
All in all, good times.

Who would have thought that you might have to change the way you play if a major change is made to the game.

If you change all english provinces to 3 dev level, you'll also have to change the way you play.

First iron man Hansa: Supported swedish independence war and got destroyed by a 12k danish stack. Run 2 going much better tho force limits, naval force limits and economy is much worse.

Answered CtA of England against France, then found England still didn't know how to transport an army across the strait.

Castile without any ally tried DoWed me too, trying to take advantage of my other war. My alliance absolutely beat Castle before being overwhelmed by France.

England watched the whole war from behind the strait.

EDIT: I eventually abandoned the war against France by signing a peace separately. England has to be abandoned. But I guess I'll just abandon the game and start a new one.

Going for a Take That, von Habsburgs-achievement run as Hungary. Now 1580, and have managed to kick the Ottos from the balkans and take over half of italy. Luckily enough, I'm not seeing any bugs or wandering AI armies that some have been reporting. Seems like a fun expansion so far, loving the new fort system. Prestige gains seem to have taken a heavy nerf, I can barely get over 40 prestige.

As usual Iron Man, took brandenburg, allied poland and austria, wanted to do my opening move with annexing Mecklenburg and reconquest Neumark.

As i wanted to DOW Teutonic Order i realized that austria didnt want to join my war, their opionon was only defensive but not friendly anymore.. i got RM, alliance and voted for 'em.
Not even at 200 relations they would've backed my ass. So i couldnt drag austria and poland immediatley into a war. Bohemia and Anhalt got discovered for fabricating a claim on Potsdam.

So i just dowd the order as poland got PU over LIT and with magdeburg on my side. All went well.. got used to the new fort mechanics which are great.
Suddenly Bohemia dowd me for potsdam, so did anhalt a year later.. I lost some troops, cuz i did not pay enough attention on my second stack which was sieging mecklenb. fort. 4k got killed by hungary.. i think that was the initial aspect why bohemia attacked my, along with anhalt.

For Gods sake austria and poland honoured and i took a province from bohemia. Anhalt got annexed as well.. had maybe 10 AE which is not that much.
Then Austria called me in another HRE war, and Poland got dowd from Muscovy, so i had 4 wars running. NEVER experienced that in the first 5 years of a BB play...

I annexed mecklenb. and took Neumark. I had maybe 15 AE for 4 noncore and a core province. Now its 1461 and i took that mission for pomerania, took the 2 provs and now im waiting to recover my manpool and to fab some claims on the order.. All in all, not that bad what happenend the first 15 years lol.

Started a few games, the one I've stuck with is Milan, aim is to take over all the provinces in the Genoa trade node and start building tall, as an Ambrosian Republic.

It was going great, allied Austria early and swept up a few neighbouring provinces, picked up alliances with France and Aragon as well. Burgundian inheritance fired and France kicked England off the mainland completely. At some point apparently, I declined a call to arms from Austria, but I'm pretty sure I never got a popup about it, which annoyed me.

Just taken a couple of provinces from Savoy, and it's finally triggered a coalition against me. Which wasn't a huge concern given my allies, except when the war actually fired, France dishonored our alliance and left me in lurch. Luckily I've allied Poland, who have their PU over Lithuania. But I'm now at war with a bunch of HRE minors and Bohemia.

My alliance has more troops, but we're separated, so the war is going to be long and expensive. I expect I'll need to take a few loans out to survive.

Still, enjoying it. Not sure how I'm going to take the land from France in the future, might need to go south through Italy first.

Started first Ironman as Australium. Allied France and Poland from the get go. Got burgundy inheritance, got PU cb on Hungary. Take Venice's northern italy territory, was focusing on trying to prevent the break up from happening. Naples ate Papal's lands before I can get to it. With 6 years to go it's highly unlikely to happen. At war with Albania/Naples right now, maybe force Naples to return Papal's land and then attack Papal, vassalizing them hoping that would count as an HRE territory... but still looks like time's running out. Got 3 reforms passed before winte... err reformation is coming. France's attitude turned from friendly to threatened and they're eyeballing my province... so I expect a break up soon. Overall really liking all the changes in the new DLC.

Surprised at how Ottomans can't get their territories back after the first 40 years. Haven't had to deal with them yet.

A bit weird as usual: Hansa game, vassalized neighbours via diplomacy, DOW holstein, Sweden got berserk over Denmark, annexed it in only a couple oy years, and, Austria got PUed by.... Hungary WTF Habsourgs, what are you doing? Napping?
