How is York Part of This Duchy?

Can someone please tell me how York is being shown as part of the duchy of Gall-Ghaidhealaibh? No characters from any of the counties have more than one title. So I don't understand how York is somehow linked to this duchy.

My understanding is one of the characters, the earl, baron or bishop must have a title within York for this to happen. Which isn't the case.

Its not de jure part of that duchy. You would need to click the "De jure" box to see that

some count probably owns York, and is a vassal of the duke of Gall-Ghaidhealaibh

As McGeans said, that has to be the case since counties never drift out of their de jure duchies. Bring up the Count of York's screen and see who his direct liege is (or alternatively the direct vassals map mode). It shouldn't be you but rather that Duke. More than likely someone inherited the county at some point and it was drawn into the other duchy de facto.

I hold the duchy of Gall-Ghaidhealaibh and no one has more than one title so I don't see how York is connected in any way. The way I understand it is someone from within the de jure duchy of Gall-Ghaidhealaibh must have a title in York? I can't see any evidence of that.

Is York your tributary? it will be shown as you on the political map if that is the case.
ETA Argh, seems like I've misunderstood the question and situation. Does one of the counts in the duchy hold two titles the secondary being the county of York? That would do it.

Look for a marriage with the spouse of the given Duchy being the title holder of York. Most likely, the Duke married the countess of York.

Any baron/bishop/mayor within York is a vassal of a count within Gall-Ghaidhealaibh?
