- Each day in battle, you get war contribution based on the power of the troops you have committed, taking losses gives more contribution. Heavily lopsided battles give less contribution.
- Each day in siege, you get war contribution based on the power of your troops in the siege, but only up to the amount needed to siege the fort (so piling 40k on a fort that needs 6k gives same contribution as 6k). Battles give more contribution than sieges.
- Each day blockading, you get a little bit of contribution.
- Contribution of subjects is given to overlord.
It's not exactly hidden on purpose, more that it's not something you can really show nicely in the interface.
