As the title says really. What factors affect the speed at which threat decays? Not talking about the instant lowering, like granting independence to vassals, but the slow decay rate at the top of the tooltip when you mouse over your threat level.
I also don't know how it works. Would love to know though. It seems to be different on all my plathroughs. My guess would be it's based on title rank or realm size.
It would be nice if the decay was based on diplomacy or even the amount of wars your declaring. From what I have seen I doubt it though. I seem to always get the same level of decay no matter what.
On my latest game (Byzantine Empire on CK2+) I had been sat on a prestige decay of 0.22 per month, but i then somehow tanked to 0.06, which I have no idea how I dropped it that low (might be mods doing it though).
Sorry to revive this mega old thread, but does anyone know why my decay's also tanked to 0.06? It never changes for peace or war, and I can't find anything anywhere on it. Is it CK2+?
I don't know what's caused your threat decay to go so low, but I'd guess it's the mod.
Playing without mods, I think[/] that it's always .40 a month if you're tribal and .21 a month if you're feudal, but I could be wrong. I don't always check it.
