I am on a grand quest to find whatever equation the game uses for these things because there is no documentation on it anywhere, despite it being a mechanic we are all familiar with.
And to clarify because I have ran into this issue when asking in other places: I am specifically asking about an equation/algorithm and only that. I am aware that terrain and general traits influence this but I want to know exactly the specific numerical probability that they are influencing.

Sickness: Can happen when over 75% of your units are in a desert, jungle, or marsh tile. Random chance of 2 %, rolled each day.

There appears to be a "recently sick" flag which says that a sick general can't get sick again right away.

Every battle that ends in your win, your general has a 1 per mille chance to get wounded.
Every battle that ends in your loss, your general has a 5 per mille chance to get wounded.
(If general has Careful or Reckless traits, adjust accordingly.)

Wounding happens ridiculously often, even when you're on the defensive and win ~100% of the time, because the AI loves to eternally attack when it judges that it can win by grinding your troops down (i.e. repeated lost attacks, often several per day.)

Is that > 0.75 divisions or battalions?
