What about you guys? What are your excuses to ragequit WC runs?

1. 0 manpower? you really need to learn to be more cost efficient with your resources in a war. You should merc little bit if your manpower drain is that big. Cuz you're manpower is that low and I guess no alliances. PLC/Hungary will DOW.
2. same as one. don't throw away your men
3. Doesn't matter. imo blocking Russia forming/cutting of Siberia is overrated.
4. Depends how good/bad the rest is.
5. it happens. Last run I had plc+Sweden blobbing into Russia and Morroco blobbing into Iberia
6. Still doable. In my Mogolia WC run, I had a Spain-GB-Portugal PU. Have fun fighting 3 colonizers.

I never fail at anything. I'm perfect in every way imaginable. Men and women alike wish they could be more like me. Sometimes I almost feel like it's a burden to be that good.

In all seriousness, I never RQ any WC run. If it didn't turn out well I used it as a chance to experiment and learn a bit.

I've failed every attempt too. All for the same reason. I'm too damn lazy. I even have a game saved at the moment that would easily be possible but I've completely lost interest.

I've attempted two- succeeded one as Hungary-Roman Empire- and failed the other as Ottomans.

Hungary was pure luck with PU's everywhere so integrating everything gave me control of all the colonies everywhere. So pure luck was that.

The Ottoman was a absolutely horrible scenario in about the 1600's. Had India sussed, took out PLC ASAP. But then started my push into Africa and had Austria PU France and Spain, ally with GB and attack me. My European forces got overrun and I couldn't bring back my armies from Africa until they won (About 300k troops down there fighting about 4-5 wars IIRC). Sadly it's the stage of the game where Western Units are getting better than Anatolian D:

I played way too long before attempting WC, so not much in the way of rage quitting. I had a few "I'm not on pace with what I'm seeing from the best players or close enough to make it, so let's correct" type games though.

My issue was more of strategy/timing of conquest/resource expenditure/pacing to sustain and maximize OE/points. Your issue seems different, you're losing way too many resources per war. I recommend practicing wars repeatedly with emphasis on limiting what you lose. For example in this patch you can and should have more manpower after getting your cores back than you have at start.

Doing that has a ripple effect. You can put more money in buildings and sustain more wars for the same resource cost. When you're gated on monarch points despite running advisors you know you're doing decently.

3. Doesn't matter. imo blocking Russia forming/cutting of Siberia is overrated.

Agreed, but IMO always keep an eye on them. They get into bad wars or rebel hell sometimes and have like 1/4 of their force limit more often than many other nations while sometimes lacking good allies, and at that point fighting them is basically free land. For a nation that can be a chore later on with 1k development and a lot of forts it's worth beating on them any time it's opportune. They're even AE-isolated, convenient.

Was able to WC it, but didn't 1tag it. Was collapsing to rebels at the end.

Back in 1.10 or something doing a quite good Ryukyu run around 1600(dont remember), I was still feeling I am soooo poor so I had an exceptionally good idea of lowering autonomy of majority of india and indochina.

250% OE after that teached me no to do that ever, ever again! I don't think I ever killed that many people in just maybe 10 years. Easily a million or more manpower gone plus countless mercenaries. Stupid rebels with their ridiculous full back line cannons!

I think I stopped playing for a month before I returned to that run :)

Save high development areas like Europe, China, N. India for last. Once you've got everything else, you can just truce-break those last ones in the late game, if need be. Have administrative ideas (reduced coring), highest absolutism possible, and you can eat a LOT of land, in the last stages of the game. Truce-breaking is totally viable, if time is running out.

Btw, you should have humanist at some point, needless to say... just to save the rebel headaches.

I'm on my 6th attempt to take all of Indianas Spain for that achievment so WC is probably outside of my skill set!

What's your strategy and when do you fail and why? Also why Spain, Russia is probably much easier (lots of weak neighbours to eat, Siberian Frontier for fast expansion and Persia/India pretty much at your doorstep once you conquered the Hordes). Also France for obvious reasons (much richer, better starting rulers)
