How have you passed the time?

I must admit the wait has been easier for me than most. I did a two and a half month trip to Europe as a university graduation thing, covering all of Western Europe minus Ireland. (hard to get to by rail!)

I did a lot of things related to military history of course, including a 4 day adventure entirely by foot in Normandy. Walked from Bayeux --> Pointe du Hoc --> Omaha --> Gold --> Juno --> Caen. Slept on the beach during the day because it was way too cold at night, when I did most of the walking. I asked around and nobody had ever heard of such a crazy idea before. It was great though because it gave some first hand impressions of the countryside. Those beaches were so important considering how poor a lot of the terrain is between them: nothing but rocks and cliffs.

So I come back and Hearts of Iron 3 is almost here! How has the wait been for everyone else?

I spend my time booting up HoI2 then quitting after only a few weeks when I realise how freaking awesome HoI3 will be.

My last game as Japan lasted until Jan 10 1936. I started planning how I would deal with America during the war, my thought was to take Hawaii and use it as a heavily fortified choke point to force them to garrison the west coast and deny them a refueling base capable of striking at my forces.

Then I realised that the AI can cheat with naval range and invade the home islands from the west coast if it so desires which made the entire plan pointless.

I had to finish my 2nd MBA semester... (so I was quite busy these months) still have one exam to go.. and then HOI 3!!!

Its like paradox coordinated the release with the end of my semester! :rofl:

With me it is opposite. For me, school starts at 12th or 14th of August.

Sounds awesome! Body and mind go best together when you travel by foot.

Well this summer I have been working, 8 hours per day, 5 days a week. On top of this since the last 19 months I have been the main provider for a 21 months old boy and I'm single, so days fly past in a neck breaking speed although when in it it seems like the clock isn't moving.

I hope I get the extension to the summer job because then I can afford HOI3, if not then I have to wait.

I played TOAW (Fire in the East Rulez) and Panzer Campaignes (even more detailed and hardcore than TOAW) all the time
Played WoW till March - though got bored even with the WotLK
Was here almost 24/7 (and yes wnaked a lot like pakamaniuk )
Drunk galons of alc and separated with my woman at least 10 times...

Been having a huge amount of homework since school shut down due to the swine flu ( thanks argentina... )... but now its holidays, just starting this week and going on till the 6th of AUGUST... NNOOOOES!

Anyways, I've been watching anime like crazy ( call me an otaku )... I recomend CLANNAD to anyone who can watch it, and its not about wierd guys with wierd swords and superpowers... its about school. you people should watch it, it'll change your life.
