How good is a space coral (Calamitous Birth + Aquatic Species) build? And what are some other builds that utilise Calamitous Birth?

I've been thinking about trying out Lithoids recently and thought about a build where you terraform worlds into Ocean worlds and then splish splash colonise them with the special ship of Calamitous Birth. The Aquatics trait means that the -50% habitability of the crater won't be as bad and the extra production of minerals would come in handy for the mineral eating "Coraloids". Plus later you can get the Watergun Colossus to turn every planet into an Ocean world. (And thinking about it, would that enable Terravores to terraform? Because so far, they can't terraform)

Is that build viable? Or am I just wasting time thinking about it?

And: What are some other fun/strong builds that utilise Calamitous Birth?

This is going to come down to how you define "viable". Aquatic is probably one of the strongest traits you can add to a calamitous birth civ, but that's more down to how strong aquatic is, not the strengths of lithoids and calamitous birth, who are with the current state of the game a bit mediocre. In a moderately competitive multiplayer game it might not be able to keep up with the best, however it's interesting and there aren't any horrible anti synergies, so it should be fine for more relaxed environments.
