How exactly do u install patches

Ive got 1.06 but all these new ones it wont start up. This is what ive done ive saved the file to a folder unzipped it then opened the folder after unzipping and there is the EU2 icon. I click on it and it says theres an error that there is no excel or something then the options to ignore, retry, or close r there and nothing works. Whats wrong ?

you should unzip all the patches into your eu2 directory (the one with the original eu2.exe) and chose to overwrite the files.

It depends on which program you are using to unzip the file.
Usually there is an option for location or destination. Browse to the EU2 folder and unzip. Select Overwrite when prompted.
