I was playing a game with friends today in which the UK was fully blockaded by U-boats and effectively neutralized. However, when the US joined the war they were able to send thousands of airplanes to the UK and use them there, fully fueled.
Now, the US does produce a boatload of fuel, but I'm struggling to understand how they were able to use it in England. The german U-boats did not seem to intercept any american fuel transports. There did not seem to be any supply line from the US for these planes.
I checked the supply mapmode and the airports appear to be supplied from London, which makes sense since they are british airports, but it does not seem to explain how the fuel got there.
My best guess currently is that units that are fully supplied automatically (magically) consume fuel from your stockpile. But surely that can't be right? This means that American airplanes in British airfields magically consume fuel that has no way to make it across the ocean.
Am I missing something?
