How does the game manage multiple music DLC ?

Hello there

I'm a big EU fan so I bought every DLC I could even the useless ones (according to my opinion) but I have a weird feeling about musics. Indeed, with every music DLC activated I feel like there is LESS diversity in musics than when I was playing vanilla.
I mean, I know there is some music specific to some country/region but those times I'm mainly playing European countries and it seems like music played is half Sabaton half Guns Drums and Steel. Well, I won't complain, it's very badass, but badassness tends to fade when it's like this 100% of the time.

So I was wondering if I should sometimes turn off some music DLC to hear other soundtracks during my game or if my feeling is absolutely wrong. I don't know.

Guns drums and steel replaces original music with that version of it, so you won't hear originals with that one, but the sabaton pack adds songs as well as any other music pack. I personally keep guns drums and steel turned off and haven't bought the sabaton pack because I prefer the more orchestral songs with eu4 than the metal ones.

I should do the same then because even if I like metal pretty much, I think it fits less the "EU spirit" ^^

There also is the fact that different songs have different modifiers. All Sabaton tracks are for instance given a modifier of 2, whereas most vanilla tracks have a modifier of 1, a few have 1.25, some 1.5. That means that inherently Sabaton is more likely to play. All the songs of exploration also have a modifier of 2 (when the requirements for them playing are met) meaning that they too are more likely to play that vanilla songs. Haven't checked what modifiers the other music DLC has.

GD&S replaces music? This is very strange.

On the other hand I mostly play with game music turned off. My playlist included Sabaton long before DLC release.
