Isnt it quite annoying when countries like Delhi get syria even though they have no land connection wat so ever and dont even own a provence in persia. Or the ottoman empire launching naval invasions of ireland and northern europe.

I have seen that the AI does not suffer from naval attrition, so it can invade pretty much anywhere by sea; as for getting these far flung provinces, its probably because they captured these moving through allied territory.

there's a command in the AI files called "Distance = #" It's under the "conquer" section.

The higher the number, the more willing the AI is willing to travel for invasions.

I'd rather deal with this oddity than see entirely too many phony wars between countries that never bother invading each other because they won't bother to send ships across the Mediterranean, into the Baltic, or around the Arabian Peninsula. Even if it ends up with somebody weird in Ireland more often than not...

Yeah, i've given more varied AI's to different countries, but one of the main things i did, was increase the distance modifier for EVERY nation. It makes for a much more interesting game, and once in a while, England will try to invade northern castille/spain which is hilarious to watch.
