So, I've played a number of games under Conclave from the Charlemagne start, and I've noticed that in many cases the nomads start dying out by 1050 or so.
At first, I thought they were just losing to tribes and feudal realms, but when I examined their title histories, there are plenty of Altaic rulers with unbroken lineages back to the start of the game running tribes or feudal realms on the steppe.
I was wondering what are the conditions that cause the AI to decide to settle when they are nomads, and they are not conquering feudal territory. They seem to give up a lot of power (nomads are still potent in Conclave, even if they have some council problems) to settle as feudal or tribal on their own steppe. Is there something the AI knows about being nomad that I don't?
