I cannot remember too much from the discussion, but I believe it was to try and get the region more internationally recognised; again it was something Frank Jensen and pretty much nobody else thought was great as far as I remember.

but Skåne is de facto part of Sweden, and In more a supporter for a union rather than reclaiming it, working together would strengthen us and make it easier for all a proud dane who have adapted to reality... but put liquor, pork and an insult and you see my viking heritage if not the pork and beer is more important or has filled me enough...

As far as I understood it would be the Øresund region; i.e a large part of Sjælland (if not all of it) and ~half of Skåne (approximately the old Malmøhus Len).

We actually had a good discussion of a union in the Scandinavian subforum. And yes a union which came to be in the 1800s would have been really great. Also as discussed in that thread if a union ever came to be then the capital would obviously need to be somewhere which wasn't "tainted"; Gøteborg seemed like a good choice for that as it also would be central.

actually kinda hillarious... Also... Can´t really see what´s the difference on the names... Have not travelled much, but when I did, it was always funny how the map and the city I was going to was spelled the same, which made it kinda easy to know where I was and where I was going.Some are more sensitive about it than others... But it´s good scandinavian (at least danish) to laugh about such things... Namely how we lost that part and have lost most football matches really.. Handball... perhaps?

And while the copenhagen area thing is the most recent it is far from the scaries comment made by elected oficialls in denmark in the last decade, with regards to skåne that is.Haven´t heard about that one, so had to do some quick reading... Seems odd to try to do this without agreeing in both countries, but seems like some officials are supporting it... Wouldn´t really change ownership, but the name... But dislike changing names in general, happened elsewhere in DK and it´s simply odd to do so even if the change is small.

Yeah that was what I was refering to, but there has been several odd statements from danish officials the last few years with respect to skåne.
No borders changed in the west after ww2. The western allies finally learned their lesson (the story there is that some of the involved parties (mainly the US) wanted a lenient peace for germany after ww1 but france kind of overruled them). Stalin however was an expansionistic asshole so he didn't get with the program.

Denmark did get some land after WW1, not as much had they had lost to Prussia since Slesvig-Holstein were part of Denmark. And we didn´t really "get" it, there were a vote in that part, in both counties where one voted for Denmark and the other Germany.
