In cases like Estonia it's because we want all cultures present in owned provinces to have revolter tags.
And Estonian cores in 1444 are there because reasons.

To be fair, the cores for ahistorical revolter tags(e.g. Sapmi, Estonia, probably Nyitra in the future) should either be in every province of their culture from the beginning or none of the tags should have the cores until the revolt fires. I think I'm more for the first alternative as it provides much more diversity among playthroughs. And Estonian cores in 1444 are there because reasons.
and the Faroese!
Still waiting for that "Iceland" tag... It's been nearly 3 years, but I still have hope!

I think its strictly making Iceland as Norway-Denmark? Like England can make Northumbria, but it never really would do so.Also Scottish province borders were adjusted. I think that Highlands was split.
I'm not convinced about Norway becoming Iceland if they lose the continent being a good thing, as that would mean that Norwegian cores in lost Norway would get replaced with Icelandish ones.
Norther Highlands and Southern Highlands.Edit: what will the new province be called? I'm thinking Sutherlnad-Caithness-Ross for the Northern part, and Argyll-Inverness-Moray for southern highlands.
By the way, the estimated population at the timeline start was about 4-6 million. By this reasoning, Jersey had about 0.25% of the world population (using 4 million as the estimate). Or basically, the population of 1 province if the game had 400 such provinces.
What? Ming alone had more than 4-6 million people. France alone, more than that number too. England alone, not far from the 4 million as your estimate. Are you really talking about world population or English population?
I was going to put something here about the population of iceland, but it was too insigificant for anyone to actively measure at the start of EUIV's timeline.
