How does Germany accept the Ashkenazis?

LMFAO I did not notice that. Does that matter though?

I've also seen it in my game. It was a normal Prussia->Germany which at some point in the late-game had Ashkenazi as accepted. I know Ashkenazi is classified as part of the German culture group, so I guess Germany gets it because it's a cultural union. As to how it happens, I have no clue. My best guess is an event of some sort, but I can't find it in the files.

Yes, I was playing Germany and I noticed that I had accepted Ashkenazi culture without any events or anything. It was after I had conquered the Baltic states which have a high percentage of Ashkenazis so that might have something to do with it.

Found the culprit. The Crown From the Gutter event gives you all German cultures as accepted, which includes Ashkenazi. This is something that you miss out on by forming Germany through decision.

How come Israel is formed that early? Isn't the Balfour Declaration event (which actually brings Israel cores into existence) available only through tech that comes after 1900s?

it only adds the cores or something, you can use changeowner ISR xxx before that (or whatever their tag is).
