I'm finding CK2 very chaotic compared to EU3 (not necessarily in a bad way). In EU3 you take a province and wait for it to core, then when the rr goes away you probably never have to worry about it ever again and you can safely move on to something else. In CK2, it seems things never really get more stable. Taking new territory or expanding your dynasty only seems to give you more to worry about. Playing the king of France in EU3 is trivial compared to CK2. But playing as a count or small duchy in CK2 with the right succession laws (whatever it's called when the oldest son inherits everything) is quite easy compared to playing a tiny/subject/weak nation (such as Naxos, Holstein, or Silesia) in EU3. You really do have to change your thinking and I'll admit to finding it quite difficult.
