So PDX released three new effects with this patch regarding factions without mentioning how to use them, great.
I tried to search the game files for examples, the wiki too, and found none.
What should come after the equals? The character scope? The target scope? The title scope?
Who or what should be the scope that includes the effect? Again, the liege? the participant?

Code:
leave_faction = <faction> or leave_faction = all
In the scope of the person leaving the faction as you can only be in a faction for your liege so there is no need for any other scopes or third parties.

Code:
join_faction = {
    faction = <faction>
    faction_leader = <scope>
}
Join faction is simple where you just need the faction and its leader

Code:
start_faction = {
    faction = <faction> # All faction type
    title = <scope> # liege_titles faction type
    thirdparty = <scope> # liege_titles_w_claimant faction type
    can_join_existing = yes # If one already exists join that one, if one exists and this is not enabled then nothing will happen
}

faction_exists = {
    faction = <faction> # All faction type
    title = <scope> # liege_titles faction type
    thirdparty = <scope> # liege_titles_w_claimant faction type
}
Start and check for faction require extra fields depending on the type of faction, title is the title you are targeting and thirdparty is a claimant for the title.[/code]
