or press F12, type "event x y", where y is a specific country-tag, if you want to trigger an event for another country
Live and learn :wacko:
I've played many-many games and each time reloaded as "y" to get them the event :wacko:
Well, thanks :D

Nikk, christo, manual event firing doesn't work in the Doomsday scenario, I guess that's what he was refering to, the new scenario, not the Grand Campaigns or old battle scenarios.

Didn't know that, never tried... Of course I believe you, but I can't imagine why this feature shouldn't work in this specific scenario, while working perfectly well in others... Did the devs remove it deliberately?

specific scenarios have specific set of events.
For examples, "Barbarossa" has just this event file :
"scenarios/fallbarbarossa/fall_barbarossa_events.txt".

You can find this at the end of ".eug" file (or look inside the scenarios directory)

You can trigger only those events included in the file.

ciao :) :)

The DD scenario is the '0_1945.eug' in the scenarios\ folder, which includes only these event files:

Code:
event      = "db\events\ai_revolters.txt"
event      = "db\events\AI_sliders.txt"
event      = "db\events\hoi2.txt"
event      = "db\events\death_events.txt"
event      = "db\events\coups_hoi2.txt"
event      = "db\events\secret_weapon_events.txt"
event      = "db\events\doomsday_election_events.txt"
event      = "db\events\doomsday_death_events.txt"
event      = "db\events\doomsday_coup_events.txt"
event      = "db\events\doomsday_AI.txt"
The '1945.eug' in scenarios\1945\ appears to be a backup of an older version from December (in fact it is still labelled at the top as the 1944 scenario); this does not include the new Doomsday event files but it does have the standard line:

Code:
include = "db\events.txt"
...which I suspect if pasted into the '0_1945.eug' file will enable every event in the game. It is worth noting that the hoi2.txt file is already included and so events such as various WW2 surrender events or Cold War Turns Hot can already occur or be triggered manually (and so if for example USSR defeats the Allies and releases USA, Cold War Turns Hot will fire because USSR will control a bunch of the trigger cities, and the war begins anew). I'm not sure what the effect will be with the inclusion of all the WW2 AI triggers and the old election/coup events.
