how do you post in the AAR section

The reason I joined Paradox Forums, was primarily becuase I really like the AARs, particuarly 'To Live and Die in Dixie' and 'The Great Game'. But after I'd activated my account, I can't post in the AAR section. Is there some special rule that says new members can't post there?

A minimum post-count (10 I believe) is needed to be able to post in the AAR-forums

I never knew that, I know my first post was in a reply on an AAR. These posting rules seem to change too fast to keep up.

If there is any such rule, it's a new one. My very first post on this board was the opening post of my own CK AAR, made on the very day I registered.

It could also be that you have to be a member for a certain amount of time, some rules on the forum aren't all that clear.

Can you access an AAR from someones signature or from a direct [thread=359875]link[/thread]? The normal route is through this page and then this one both are on a different domain so you might need to login again.

Even that wouldn't work out in my case, as I began my AAR on the very day I became a member, as can easily be checked in my profile. But then there may have been some kind of software hickup allowing me to start an AAR thread right away, don't know; I have encountered one or two such unaccountable things on these boards.

It is certainly puzzling me since I could acces the AAR forum before I was a member, I had to register to post though. There do seem to have been made some changes in posting rules since I became a member, so it could be just another rule.

Now that's embarrassing. o He has started a AAR and I have alrady commented on that thread before ever coming to this one, all without making the connection between the two of them...

Whenever I click on the post link there, or click on people's names, I get something that tells me I can't access it. It looks like it is supposed to be addresssed to my name in bold, but the bold says $vbulletin >userinfo[username]. Perplexing.

I expect you mean the link thar Slinky gave, unless you refer to the Furor Normannicus link in my signature. Anyway, I would counsel PMing or mailing the administrators; it is possible that there is something amiss. I once was unable to acces the AAR section, at a time when I had already posted there for well over a month, and the administrators fixed it for me real quick. And I know that robw963 did also have a problem with posting in the CK AAR forum, even though he was at that time a member of long standing; the adminstrators put it right for him as well.

Just found the information.

In order to be able to post in the AAR-forum, you need to have made at least 1 post in a regular game-forum

If you can't post in the AAR-section then sent a mail, explaining what your problem is to:

forum_admin@paradoxplaza.com
