I've been wondering for quite a while how players of Paradox games handle the sudden 16 year leap from Europa Universalis 2/3 to Victoria between 1820 (or 21/22) and 1836? I mean in a game sense it isn't such a big issue, but what about AArs? I haven't found any of the "Grand Campaign" ones that would have reached the end of Europa Universalis, but if one would, what then? Is there some mod that adds a few years? I always thought the best way to handle this would've been adding those extra years to Victoria, so that at the beginning of the 19th century industry (and science) would be literally in it's baby steps even for the great powers. Adding them to EU would be a "tad bit" more complicated. :D But then that's my idea... ;)

So how do you handle it? Pretend time flough by faster then usual?...

Theres a convertor for EU2 to Victoria, which creates events that frees colonies. So if you had the American East Coast, you'll get a message that in the 16 years you've been gone, they have declared independence and will be the United States in game. Its that way for a bunch of American Countries. I usually don't play with that option on though.
