awolnewb,

Welcome to the Paradox forum. Glad to have a new member.

You can only load troops into transport ships. Combat ships can not carry troops.

To load troops onto your transport ships, move them to a sea zone next to the province where your army is located. Select the Army you want to load onto your Transport and right click onto the sea zone to move them into your transports.

Remember that one transport can only carry one regiment. If you have three transports, then you can only carry three regiments.

Thanks for your help

so how u load units into ships can you load troops into all ships?

First - Find out if you have transport ships in your fleet. They are probably cogs or flytes or some other ship that says 'transport'. Normal fighting vessels don't carry troops. Only specific 'transport' ships.

Second - Find out how many divisions are in the army you are trying to load. This isn't the nuber of men currently in your army, but the number of total men possible. For example, say you merged several armies and they were of 8,000 strenghth. You went and fought some battles and now there are only 500 men left. Well, to transport them, you will probably need 8 transport ships because you need one ship for each division. Does that make sense?

Third - Make sure your fleet is at sea and not in port, then select your army and then right click (to make them move) on to your transport ships.

How does that sound? I hope it helps.
