How do you intend to play out your first game of Victoria 2?

That's more or less exactly the game I'm playing now. It's a challenge, and I don't think I'll be able to do it all, but it's now 1871 and the country is doing pretty well. Socialists only getting 17% in the polls though.
Yeah, I've done it before, it was through the ever-so wonderful VIP which has an event to recreate Grand Colombia, giving you cores on Ecuador and Venezuela after annexing them, changing your flag and name. It was difficult getting the socialist party in too, had to cheat a bit by raising all the taxes to 100% for the poor and middle classes.

Oddly enough, the closer the game comes to release, the more and more compelled I feel to play my first game as Belgium. Why? Because it was the first nation I played in Vicky 1 as well, of course!
Maybe Prussia second. Then... Christ, I don't know. I'll see when I actually get the game...
I will definitely cheat and mod the save game constantly, just to make the game a little bit more fun.
I will restore the Bonapartes and rebuild Imperial France.
They thought their "Concert of Europe" had ended the revolutionary wars?! That the death of the Emperor would end the dream? There's no stopping an idea who's time has come!
Initial objectives include the re-conquest of lost imperial possessions, the destruction of the old royal houses of Europe (Hmm, speaking of this I wonder if theres any way to change or influence the government type of other countries?) and restoring the natural borders of France.

I'll be preserving reaction in Spain without much enthusiasm. Ferdinand VII was a complete tosser.
I'll give plucky little Belgium a go to learn the ropes, no real goals in mind, just trying to apply lessons from the tutorials in conjunction with one another. After that I'll probably move on to Prussia if I'm feel that I've really got a good understanding of the game or France if I don't.
With Prussian I'll take the crown from the gutter and mostly focus on building up my economic power during the first twenty years. Hopefully securing an alliance with France and/or Russia to deter the Austrians while I build up my industrial might. After that I'll get a bit more aggressive and try to break up Austria to allow myself less competition in central and eastern Europe. Following this I will have (hopefully) expanded my SOI over the majority of central and eastern europe and established what will be, in effect, a massive customs union. This should further enhance my already massive economic might. After that the majority of the game would just be further expanding my SOI and seeing how things play out.

My goal for the CSA is to make it an absolute monarchy, which may be a tall order. I have no idea how hard it will be to change government types.

I had planned to play as Poland, and reinstall the Monarchy in Poland ^^
