I know there are a handful of leprous characters in the history files, but I don't think I've ever seen a randomly-generated character with leprosy. Is it definitely possible, and if so, how? Obviously it was very rare, and the majority of historical lepers were almost certainly in fact victims of syphilis, but I was just glancing thru the traits files and noticed it does exist as a trait. This isn't surprising, but I do find it odd that I've never encountered it in game. Are there unique events for leprous characters?

As an aside, does anyone know why the historical Baldwin V of Jerusalem has the 'inbred' trait? Is there any actual justification for this? (I don't know much about him; it just seems odd as I wasn't aware his parents were related or that he suffered from extensive deformity).

In one and a half campaigns I've had one King with leprosy, seems to be pretty random, like my chaste King getting syphilis (I backed out to the autosave for that one since it was a little ridiculous, did he get it from a toilet seat??).

As far as Baldwin, it could be a "fix" so he has no heirs as was historical, though historical characters often have random traits - I recall one player who saw Alexander Nevsky as craven.

Seems like an arbitrary fix, and it's not random as it's specified in his character entry.
