How do you find all the enemies land?

I am playing as Sweden and am trying to annex Denmark, but they seem to have a colony somewhere and I have no idea where it is. Is there anyway of finding out where it is, or have Denmark basically found a way to hide from me forever?

If you take Copenhagen you get Denmark's map.
You can then either use the diplomatic mode or the political map to find out where Denmark has it's provinces.

It is most probably in Canada or Greenland btw.

And if you have their capital and can't annex them it means they have another city, not just a trade post or colony. Because you can annex countries with just their capital and some colonies.

After re-reading your post I have to ask, how many provinces does Denmark have in Europe? If it's more than one you can't annex it. You can only annex non-pagan countries that consist of one province, colonies below 1000 doesn't count.

Just as a note, Sleepyhead's strategy applies to all nations. Take their capital and you get their maps.

yup. The first war reduces the country to one province (the capital); this assumes a smallish country, somewhere like France, Russia, China will require you to eat several chunks in several wars. After reducing the country to just the capital wait 5 years for the truce to end and find a way to go to war with them again and annex.

Wash, rinse, repeat.

Just like milk I'm playing Sweden right now and just took all of Denmark (sans colonies, which England got), and a few bites out of Russia. Now I'm off to meet my doom at Lützen.
