I had no idea this was possible. I thought it was only possible to do for counties and duchies with a high enough skill. But I'm currently playing as the Byzantine Emperor, and got a notice from my Spymaster that one of my vassals (Queen of Croatia) is trying to fabricate a claim on the Byzantine Empire.

How do you do this? Do you need a ridiculously highly skilled Chancellor?

Edit: Also, is it possible to do for Kingdoms as well? I assume it is if it's possible for Empires. That would probably be of a lot more use to me since I'm not really in a position to take on any Empires.

I didn't know it was possible either....I guess its a plot of some sort, your Chancellor can only fabricate claims on Counties and Duchies though.

It's intended to be possible for the Byzantine Empire's vassals as traditionally emperors were commonly deposed by the leading families inside the Empire if they weren't doing a very good job or couldn't play factions off against each other very well. I'm not sure how it works for the HRE since its elective and didn't have the same historical grounding, but generally speaking its a reasonable feature to have inside Empires.

As a vassal you can have a plot to fabricate a claim on your lieges title or on a rival vvassals title. Not always available. Anyone know the requirements?

Thanks for the responses guys! Too bad I can't fabricate kingdom claims :(

I guess that'd be too powerful of a tool.
